I give an amount of time photo sessions typically take to complete, however I tend to not stick to this and go beyond the expected time. I like to do this so there is no pressure or rush, and therefore more natural photos can be taken. Also if you have little ones in the family, they sometimes need that extra time. I like for all my clients to feel relaxed and I like to be able to take the time to get to know everyone so I know what I am looking to capture.
Maternity, engagement and family photos will be photographed in a life style fashion, which means outdoors is preferred for background with less rigid posing. This gives a more natural feel and captures more relaxed photos.
Newborn, milestone and birthday portraits will be photographed in home with or without backdrops.
Optional studio for rent for an additional fee of $45.
The only limit is creativity, so let's see what we can come up with together!
Photo sessions must be paid in full prior to photoshoot to reserve time slot. Until payment is made, time cannot be guaranteed and you may have to pick a new time. Travel fee of $0.5 per mile round trip for traveling beyond 15 miles(30 minutes).

Please let me know as soon as possible! I like to be flexible and helpful. If you must cancel, I would prefer at most a 24 hour notice, however I know things can happen last minute. There will be no refund. We will work on setting up a reschedule or I will put a credit on your file to be used for a future photoshoot!
I do not. Depending on the type of photoshoot I either travel to your home or we meet up at an outdoor location.
Newborn and pictures of little ones under 1 will be taken within the home.
Unfortunately, at this time I do not. I do not have the man power or supplies needed at this moment. But I would love to photograph your engagement photos!
I can travel a little outside of my typical area. I work mostly out of Lake County, IL. However I also service McHenry County IL, Walworth County WI, Kenosha County WI. Please reach out if you're out of servicing areas as I may be able to travel! Anything outside of 30 minutes/15 miles of travel for me will include a travel fee.
$0.50 per mile (roundtrip) per mile over the original 15 miles.
This means you have the rights to print the photos wherever you would like and download the photos! I will not watermark any photos provided to you in your gallery provided in your package plan.
All I ask is if you share your photos online is to tag me!
Please schedule your photoshoot in between feedings. The best photoshoots are when the babies are sleepy so bring a bottle or be prepared to feed the baby. A fed newborn is a sleepy one. Newborn shoots are much longer to give time to rock the baby back to sleep, provide extra feedings and have time to calm an unhappy little one. Newborn sessions also need to be calm and quiet, so please only plan on yourself and your baby being around during the shoot. If you have other children I recommend they do not attend.
I do have about 15 backdrops currently, and more to probably come! I have some props for the basic necessities. This is why it is recommended that if you want a certain prop or costume to bring your own. If you really would like something particular, feel free to ask and I may be able to make it happen.
It's a way to photograph people more naturally! They make the best photos as they are more free flowing and life like. I will give some posing suggestions or actions, but from there I leave it to the clients to add their own touch. This means walking around, cuddling and laughing. There's no harsh posing with no movement.
Absolutely! If we're able to make it work then I am all for it! Feel free to send me your pinterest board and we can see what we can do. You may also bring photo examples to the photoshoot.
