After booking you will be required to pay for a non-refundable deposit. I understand that things can come up last minute, however I purchase supplies early. Typically I have to start baking a couple of days prior to delivery. This deposit is to cover supply cost and food as unfortunately food cannot be returned once purchased.
If you cancel after your baked good has started to be made (typically up to 48-72 hours before delivery, sometimes earlier depending on complexity) you will be charged a fee to compensate for labor.
Please let me know! I can bake sugar free, dairy free, soy free, nut free and gluten free. Just please be aware, the kitchen still handles allergens.
I can deliver your baked goods if it works with scheduling and within my servicing limits. Fee is $0.50 per mile. Otherwise baked goods can be picked up free of charge!
I will be sure to give instructions before delivery. However unless being eaten that day then yes, anything with buttercream or frosting should be refrigerated until the day of. Buttercream is best at room temperature so it can sit out at room temperature for a couple of hours before serving. According to the USDA butter is safe at room temperature for a couple of days, so this includes buttercream! Other frostings may need to stay refrigerated until serving. If the baked good will be outside, please be aware if it's too hot the frosting may start to melt.
I am really relaxed and have a great sense of humor! I will let you know if I don't feel comfortable making a certain design. Let's say you're looking for something for a bachelorette party or a 21st birthday, I don't tend to be easily offended. I have seen some pretty funny ideas online that make me giggle.
Have you ever wondered how the cakes displayed out at a wedding feeds so many people? Most likely that cake is not served at all, or at least not to feed all the guests. Bigger weddings usually order a cake for display and then a sheet cake that is cut behind the scenes to be served to the guests. It's a great way to save money! Serving sheet cakes will be the same flavors as the display cake but will not have any decorations.
This is not required, as I work for myself. It is always appreciated if you felt I deserved it. All I ask is if you love my work that you spread the word! Post about me on social media and tell your friends. Word of mouth is the best gift of all to small businesses!
